Harold Hamm School of Geology and Geological Engineering at the University of North Dakota

Executive Chairman Harold Hamm pledged $10 million in 2012 to create the Harold Hamm School of Geology and Geological Engineering at the University of North Dakota. The donations have funded two endowed professor positions, scholarships, and a virtual core library that has helped in the development of Bakken Shale, one of the nation’s largest oil plays. Additionally, Continental Resources has financially contributed to Dickinson State University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Chickasha Public Schools, and Enid Public Schools.
