In 2012, Mr. Aman assumed the role of Vice President, Northern Region Production.
Mr. Aman joined Continental Resources of Illinois, a Continental subsidiary, in 2001 when Continental purchased the assets of Farrar Oil Co. While at Continental of Illinois, he was responsible for all drilling, production and engineering activities in the eastern US. In 2006 he transferred to Continental Resources and assumed the duties of production manager for the Northern Region. This region included the Williston Basin where he was instrumental in the early growth of Continental’s Bakken operation and continued development of the Red River Units. Prior to joining Continental of Illinois, he held various drilling, production and engineering assignments for Farrar Oil Company, a large Illinois Basin independent producer. His first professional job was as a drilling and production engineer for Chevron USA. Mr. Aman is a 1979 petroleum engineering graduate of University of Missouri-Rolla and a registered professional engineer. He also is a member of the Mines & Metallurgy Academy and Department of Geological Sciences & Engineering Advisory Board at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
